The Family of John Jacob Hacker

Mary Anne was the sixth and final child born to Johann Hacker and his first wife, Elizabeth Lueth. She was born 22 Oct 1868 in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan.

She married James S. Daggett, son of Joseph and Sarah C. Daggett, on 4 June 1890 in Toledo, Lucas Co., Ohio. James was born in March of 1861 in Pennsylvania. They became the parents of six (6) children:

 1. Clifford Norman Daggett (1891-1971)
Married Mary Elizabeth / May E. (last name unknown)
Children: none known.

2. Pearl Irene Daggett (1895-1981)
Married Dennis F. Donohue, Sr.
Children: Dennis F. Jr., Erva B., Dorothy J. (Dolly), and Iline.

3. Violet Dolly Daggett (1897-unk)
Married Louis Jestmore II.
Children: Violet, Louis III.

4. Clyde C. Daggett (1902-1997)
Married Marie G. (last name unknown)
Children: none known.

5. Ethel May Daggett (abt 1906-unk)
Married unknown.

6. Unknown Daggett (died bef 1910)
Mary Anne states on her 1910 census page that she is the mother of 6 children but only 5 are alive.

In 1900, the family lived in Adams Twp., Lucas Co., Ohio. James was a farm laborer.

In 1910, they lived in Toledo, Lucas Co., Ohio where James was a coal yard laborer.

By 1920, James and Mary Anne were divorced. James lived with their daughter Pearl and her family in Toledo. He was a laborer at a Stamping factory. Mary Anne lived with their son Clyde and his family in Washington Twp., Lucas Co., Ohio. She was working at "Selector Glass Factory".

In 1930, Mary Anne was living with their daughter Violet and her family who also lived in Washington Twp. Her occupation was listed as "servant / housework". James's 1930 census page has not been located yet.

According to family sources, Mary Anne (Hacker) Daggett died on 17 July 1947 in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan. James S. Daggett's death date is not known, nor are their burial places.
